Disaster strikes in the lives of leading cancer scientist Hank Sanders and his family when his newfound cure for cancer mutates its patients into flesh seeking zombies. Outbreak follows the journey of the Sanders family as they make their way from their mountain home and into the town of Wilmington, NC in Hank's desperate attempt to find a cure for the so-called cure and a place of safety for his family. Hank’s journey comes to an abrupt ending when his own creation begins to mutate him, changing the man from father to monster, leaving the family struggling to continue to the fabled military base that Hank spoke of as a haven.}
